About This Tour
Long before the catamarans leave the marina and the tourist buses reach the eastern villages, the ocean east of Madeira holds something rare — a stillness you can only meet at first light. Our Sunrise Sail starts at the marina in Caniçal at 6:00 AM, just as the sun begins to colour the cliffs of Ponta de São Lourenço. For three hours, you'll have the entire 4WINDS to yourself — a Dufour 325 sailboat, your private skipper, and Madeira's eastern coastline as it was meant to be experienced: silent, golden, untouched. We sail past dramatic volcanic formations, anchor in a sheltered cove for a quiet moment, and return as the day begins to wake. Coffee, freshly squeezed juice and traditional Madeiran honey cake are served on board. This is not a tour to share with strangers — it's a morning that belongs to you alone.
