Some days you don't want a tour. You want the sea, the sun, and nowhere to be.
Set sail from Marina da Quinta do Lorde aboard our Dufour 325 Grand Large, with a private skipper, and in minutes we're anchored in the sheltered turquoise waters of Baía d'Abra, beneath the volcanic cliffs of Ponta de São Lourenço.
This is the one where swimming is the whole point. Dive straight off the back of the boat, float in some of the clearest water in the archipelago, rinse off under the freshwater deck shower, and settle back on board with a cold drink as the island drifts by.
No crowds, no rush, no fixed route to rush through. Just three hours of sea and sky, with the whole boat to yourselves.
